Are you looking for some top tips on how to create an award winning entry?

Watch the How to be a CIPD People Management Awards winner webinar on demand here for advice on how to turn a great initiative into an award-winning piece of work from past CIPD People Management Award winners and judges.

Here are some of the FAQ that are covered in the webinar:

Do you accept entries from overseas?

Yes we have many entries from overseas.

I have a small budget – how can we compete with the larger organisations?

The Judges always look at the context of the initiative so make sure you tell us a little bit about the environment you are operating in. Also don’t forget to let us know your organisation size by completing the box on the entry form.

Can I enter more than one category for the same initiative?

You can,  but each entry must be tailored to the specific category.  We do not accept copy and paste entries.

Which category should I enter?

It’s best to read the criteria of the categories in the entry kit carefully to determine which one your project meets best.  If you are still unsure we are happy to talk through which one might be the best for you.

Do you give feedback to entrants at all stages?

Due to the volume of entries we regret we are unable to provide feedback at the first stage of judging.  Should you be successful to reach the panel stage then you will receive feedback on your entry after the awards ceremony in September.

Can I nominate somebody for the student award?

The student has to enter themselves for the award but you are able to provide a testimonial as part of their application.

I am a consultancy but want to enter a specific category rather than the best consultancy category.

You can enter any category but if you want to showcase work with a client then you must get a testimonial supporting the work and be prepared to bring along your client if you get through to the panel stage.
