Tim Pointer

Tim Pointer is an Operating Partner at Three Hills, the private markets investment firm with €3.3bn in assets under management and a portfolio of 35 diverse businesses across Europe and North America. Tim has a portfolio CHRO role leading people and organisational strategy across this portfolio, delivering value creation across the investment lifecycle. He also hosts the Three Hills business podcast, Powered by People (on YouTube, Spotify & Apple) in which he interviews leaders who have led organisational transformation at scale.  He has held global Chief People Officer roles across multiple sectors, including brand & talent management (Creative Artists Agency), sports & fashion (Pentland, Diesel), health (Nelsons), technology (Currys / T-Mobile USA) and liquor (Beam Suntory Asia-Pacific). Tim co-founded the Business Culture Awards & Business Culture Connected community in 2015 which creates organisational culture case studies, assessment and recognition.

An experienced Board member, Tim designs and delivers people strategies that accelerate and sustain growth - strengthening purpose, clarifying strategy, shaping organisation design, aligning talent, and building high-performance culture. Tim has lived and worked across EMEA, the US and Asia-Pacific. He is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD, trained in executive coaching at Hult Ashridge Business School, and is an alumnus of the University of York, Lancaster University and London Business School. In June 2026, Tim was recognised in the CIPD HR30 list of top senior HR professionals.
